A selection of mug experiments thrown on the potters wheel from speckled stoneware clay. They have pulled handles and are finished with a matte white glaze. When glazing, I dipped the body, then the handle and you can see the overlap as thicker glaze at two points on the handle. Glaze application isn't perfect and one or two have thin areas inside. Finally, I applied vintage overglaze decals and fired the mugs for a third time. Process reel here.

Please bear in mind that I don't know how old the decals are or how they were stored. The designs are from the 60s and 70s. I have experimented to find the right firing temperature for them. They appear to be properly affixed, but I can't guarantee if they will fade or wear. On a few of them there is a slightly 'pre-worn' or 'aged' look - please see product photos and use the zoom tool.

The mugs are all roughly 9-10cm tall, 400ml-ish capacity (measurements are approximate). Every item is handmade and there will be some variations in size, shape and pattern repeat. Gentle hand-washing recommended.
