Party season is approaching and I have cocktails and sparkle on my mind! These handmade ceramic cups are perfect for all sorts of drinks and their real gold lustre rim makes them extra special for a celebratory bevvy.
Thrown on the potters wheel from white stoneware clay, the cups are trimmed and then painted with a coat of underglaze when leatherhard. The design is then carved through the colour to reveal the white clay below in a technique called sgraffito. They are fired, glazed and fired again. Finally I apply gold lustre to the rim and fire them for a third time.
Every item is entirely handmade by Emma and there will be some variations in size, shape and finish. Photos are illustrative of the handmade item you will receive. Items sold individually.
10cm tall, 8cm wide at rim, 300ml+ capacity (measurements are approximate). Gentle hand-washing recommended. Gold rims are NOT microwave or dishwasher safe. Click here for more information on care of your item.
